Taking the $5 a week Alaska Grown Challenge

If every Alaskan spent $5 a week for five months on an Alaskan Grown food it would pump tens of millions of dollars into the local economy.
Arthur Keyes, a director with the Division of Agriculture, says that money would stay in Alaska, supporting Alaskan farmers. He added the produce grown within the state tastes better. Keyes said our state has one of the cleanest growing environments in the world. Our products taste sweeter than the counterparts grown in the Lower 48. One example he gave was
