Suspected shooter in apparent murder-suicide son of ex-cop

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) – Police in Alaska say the suspected gunman in an apparent murder-suicide that left four dead at a Fairbanks hotel was the son of a former local police officer.
Fairbanks police say the former officer, Al Hutton, was found crying in a second-floor hallway of the Hampton Inn Nov. 25.
Police say Hutton directed responding officers to a nearby room, where they found the bodies of 22-year-old McKay Hutton, his 54-year-old mother Linda Hutton, 22-year-old wife Emily McDon
