‘Stripper boat’ back in business near Homer Spit

The Wild Alaskan, Kodiak’s infamous “stripper boat,” is back in business, this time in Homer.
Owner Darren Byler says re-opening the vessel is a political statement. He’s calling the boat’s summer tour a “First Amendment Freedom of Assembly” recreational event.
“The reason I’m back is I’m the kind of guy who don’t like to get bullied by the government,” Byler said.
He keeps records of his stormy past on the wall of the club.
