Small plane crashes near Yentna River; no word on pilot
Investigators were en route to a small-plane crash about 30 miles north of Anchorage Saturday night, with no details initially available on the status of the aircraft’s pilot and sole occupant.
Clint Johnson, the National Transportation Safety Board’s Alaska chief, said reports of the crash near the mouth of the Yentna River first came in at about 4:15 p.m. Saturday.
