Seward declares emergency after ‘massive’ snowfall, requests help from borough

The Seward City Council ratified an emergency declaration Monday evening. The city received 30 inches of snow in a 24-hour period last weekend. The city called the amount “massive” in a press release and indicated concern given forecasts for more precipitation throughout the week.
