Scientists find strange sea creatures in Alaska for the first time

Odd, pink, “thimble-like” creatures are showing up along the southeast Alaskan coastline for the first time, according to the Associated Press; the multi-celled creatures have made their way north along the West Coast over the last few years.
Scientists identified the creatures as pyrosomes, which are tropical, filter-feeding, spineless and about six inches long, and they say they’re usually found along the equator.
