Report shows rise in suicides, state says it has boosted prevention resources

A new report reveals the number of suicides in Alaska is on the rise. There were 200 suicides in 2015, compared to 132 in 2006, according to the Alaska Vital Statistics 2015 Annual Report. Suicide was also the fifth-leading cause of death in the state.
