Recipe Box: Harira Soup
Alaska chef Kirsten Dixon says when she and her daughter, Mandy, went to Morocco, they came back inspired to make a plethora of dishes.
One of them was harira, a savory soup typically eaten to break the Ramadan fast. It’s made using lentils, chickpeas and diced meat, complete with herbs and spices. Dixon says she was served the dish just about every day at breakfast during her trip abroad.
