Powerful storms expected to impact much of Alaska

ANCHORAGE — Powerful storms are expected to impact much of Alaska this week, bringing strong winds, blowing snow and freezing rain.
The National Weather Service says the first of three expected storms dissipated early Tuesday morning after moving over the Bering Strait.
A stronger storm is expected to bring winds gusting to at least 50 mph and some blowing snow Wednesday, as well as freezing rain to the Yukon River Delta and Saint Lawrence Island.
