Potter Marsh celebrates 100 years

Every year, Potter Marsh Discovery Day is held as a way to encourage kids and families to enjoy Alaska’s outdoors, but, this year was a special one.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of finishing the railroad construction that created fresh water at Potter Marsh. The Alaska Department of Fish and Game had games, fishing, archery and several activities to help teach people about the wildlife there.
