Police say problem affected AT&T customers calling 911

The Anchorage Police Department says AT&T cell phone customers may not be able to reach 911 until nationwide issues are resolved.
Police said in an alert around 6 p.m. Wednesday evening that 911 calls weren’t getting through from AT&T phones.
“Until AT&T has resolved this issue, you’ll need to call the police dispatch business line to get an operator,” police said.
At 6:10 p.m., police issued a second statem
