Police identify body found in Juneau channel

The Juneau Police Department (JPD) is investigating the death of a man whose body was found in the Gastineau Channel Friday afternoon.
JPD Sgt. Shawn Phelps explained in a statement that someone reported finding a body in the channel near the end of South Franklin Street at about 4:30 p.m.
The man was retrieved from the water and identified as 66-year-old Adrian D’Cafango, according to Phelps.
“There were no obvious signs of trauma,” Phelps wrote. “An autopsy is pending.&
