Payless to shut down Northway Mall store

Anchorage will soon have one less Payless shoe store.
Payless Shoe Source announced it’s filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy after struggling sales in stores and online.
The retail chain will shut down roughly 400 stores across the country, including the location inside the Northway Mall.
Four stores will remain in Alaska: three in Anchorage and one in Wasilla.
