Palmer man killed in head-on collision

A Palmer man is dead after a head-on collision early Sunday morning. Alaska State Trooper say alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
An online trooper dispatch says 44-year-old Rufelia Blackmer and 73-year-old Gary Saloka were traveling in opposite directions on the Glenn Highway when Blackmer’s vehicle crossed the center line and collided with Saloka’s vehicle. The crash occurred at mile 37.5, near Palmer, troopers wrote.
