Palmer High School sprinkler system triggered by warm weather

Warm weather on Thursday may have had people out enjoying the sun, but, at Palmer High School it caused a downpour.
Principal Paul Reid says around 3:45 p.m., the heat triggered one of the sprinkler heads in the school’s third-floor behavioral support classroom, causing some serious flooding.
He says the classroom is much like an atrium or greenhouse, with lots of big windows and that the sprinklers are triggered when the mercury inside them hits a certain temperature.
