Overdue Anchorage snowmachiner found dead, troopers report
An Anchorage man who was reported overdue from a snowmachining trip was found dead Tuesday afternoon, Alaska State Troopers report.
Someone reached out to troopers about 66-year-old Danny Maroney just after 11 a.m. when he failed to return from the excursion, troopers wrote in an online dispatch. According to the person who reported him missing, Maroney left early Monday morning and was headed to his cabin near Skwentna. Troopers said Maroney was expected to return from his trip the same night.
