NTSB releases preliminary details in residential float plane crash

The National Transportation Safety Board has released their preliminary report related to a float plane that crashed in a West Anchorage neighborhood last weekend.
According to the report, the airline transport pilot took off from the Lake Hood Seaplane Base at 12:10 on Sunday without a flight plan and was destined to return within the hour.
