New early head start facility opening in East Anchorage

There’s a new early head start center opening on the east side on Anchorage. You’ll find it in the former Kogi restaurant on Northway Drive.
The building used to serve hungry diners, but starting on March 6 it will start serving the hungry minds of local preschoolers.
MaryEllen Fritz, the director of the new Clare Swan Early Head Start Center, says the facility is designed to support income-eligible Alaska Native and Native American families.
