New Butte summit signs to be relocated after community concern

Bodenburg Butte hikers will notice new signage at the summit, but not everyone is happy about where the plaques are placed.
“The signs are placed at the prow of the summit that faces the glacier and kind of in people’s iconic photo shot,” said Kim Sollien, the Mat-Su program director for Great Land Trust (GLT).
Sollien said that’s not where the signs were supposed to be, though. There was some miscommunication with the contractor when the signs went up on Tuesday.
