New Anchorage archbishop will be installed Wednesday

Wednesday is a big day for nearly 30,000 Catholics in Alaska — a new archbishop will be installed to head the Archdiocese of Anchorage.
According to Catholic Anchor editor Joel Davidson, 57-year-old Archbishop Paul Etienne will be the fourth person to hold the position since the archdiocese was established 50 years ago. He will succeed Archbishop Roger Schwietz, who was required under church law to step down upon reaching the age of 75.
