Murkowski, Young among lawmakers to introduce CARERS Act

Senator Lisa Murkowski and Congressman Don Young joined a group of lawmakers to introduce legislation requiring the federal government to respect state marijuana laws.
It’s called the CARERS Act, which stands for Compassionate Access, Research Expansion and Respect States.
Senator Murkowski says the Act would allow Americans to gain access to the care they need by protecting patients from federal intervention in states with existing medical marijuana laws.
“There is a conflict that e
