Moderate earthquake shakes Southcentral Alaska

Just before 8:30 p.m. Saturday, an earthquake shook Southcentral, Alaska.
The Alaska Earthquake Center says the quake registered as a magnitude 5.2 and was about 40 miles deep. They described the earthquake as a “typical slab event”.
The center of the earthquake was 10 miles north of Ninilchik, 29 miles southwest of Kenai and about 91 miles southwest of Anchorage.
People in Talkeetna, Valdez, Wasilla, Eagle River, Anchorage and across the Kenai Peninsula reported feeling the shaking
