Miners’ Brooks crowned ABL Home Run Champion

The 2017 Alaska Baseball League All-Star Sunday started with a bang, as the top college players in the summer league competed in the annual Home Run Derby.
Eleven players from five teams took their swings in round one, with only four advancing to the second round. From there, Miners infielder Nick Brooks faced Chinooks pitcher Preston White in the third and final round.
