Matanuska River claims house

A house was pulled into the Matanuska River Monday night as the river bank washed away. The home was originally about 5 miles north of Sutton but in a matter of minutes was moving downstream.
Mat-Su Borough Emergency Manager Casey Cook said the river first started going underneath the house at about 8:45 p.m. Just 45 minutes later the entire house was in the river.
