Live firefighter training at Ted Stevens Airport Thursday

If you see large plumes of dark smoke near the airport Thursday, don’t be alarmed. The Airport Fire Department is conducting live fire training.
In a release sent by APD Thursday morning, Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport has scheduled firefighter training exercises between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Dark smoke may be visible during this time.
