Lawmaker David Wilson withdraws from lieutenant governor’s race
The state senator who made headlines for allegedly slapping a reporter in the face during this year’s legislative session filed, then withdrew plans to run for lieutenant governor next election.
Sen. David Wilson (R-Wasilla) had signed a letter of intent to run in the 2018 state primary election, according to Wednesday data from the Alaska Public Offices Commission, but amended the filing to indicate he was not running for office.
