KTVA Weather Lab: Ursa Minor Elementary School

In this week’s KTVA Weather Lab, I visited Ursa Minor Elementary School, which is located on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. Third-graders in Mrs. Cross and Mrs. Condry’s classes are learning why our weather here in Alaska is not as warm as other places they’ve been.
While I was there, they asked me the Weather Lab Question of the Week: How are avalanches made?
