Kodiak weather sensor back in service after vandalism
A weather station in Kodiak that provides information to boaters is back online after it was vandalized earlier this year.The Kodiak Daily Mirror reports that the Gull Island weather sensor in Chiniak Bay cost about $5,000 to build and $2,000 to get fixed after someone apparently smashed it. The system sustained gunshots in a previous incident.
