Kahiltna River wildfire fully contained

A wildfire northwest of Wasilla is 100% contained as of Tuesday night, according to the Alaska Division of Forestry.
Lightning sparked the fire near Kahiltna River. On Sunday, local pilots spotted the 58-acre blaze and reported it to authorities, who rapidly responded with retardant drops. The rainy conditions also helped quench the flames, allowing firefighters to quickly gain control of most of the fire by Sunday evening.
