FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) – The Interior’s lone commercial dairy is closing, at least for the summer, leaving only one other commercial dairy in Alaska.
The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reported Monday that Northern Lights Dairy is closing its doors for what owners hope will only be for a few months.
Owners say the closure is because they’ve struggled to find employees willing to work for the wages they can afford to pay.
