Inmate dies in custody at Goose Creek

The Department of Corrections is investigating after an inmate at Goose Creek Correctional Center died while in custody.
Saturday morning around 10, inmate Daniel Mark Brusehaber, 60, notified corrections officers and medical staff he was having trouble breathing. Although life-saving measures were taken, Brusehaber was pronounced dead by emergency first responders more than an hour later.
Brusehaber had been remanded to Goose Creek since mid-April on a probation violation and a DWI charge.
