High winds forecast for Aleutians, Alaska Peninsula

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) – Residents of the central and eastern Aleutian Islands could see strong winds Saturday.
The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for Unalaska and the eastern Aleutians that begins Friday night and ends Saturday night.
The agency forecasts west winds of 60 to 75 mph with gusts to 95 mph. Residents were warned to secure loose debris that could damage property.
Lower sustained winds with strong, erratic gusts are expected in Dutch Harbor.
