Seemingly endless chatter filled the inside of the Downtown Dena’ina Center only minutes after the musher banquet began. Fans were eager to meet notable mushers and mushers were eager to take on Iditarod.
Iditarod champions, fan favorites and veterans smiled for picture-after-picture with their dedicated supporters. Some asked for autographs, others were happy with a handshake. But the annual banquet is about more than meet and greets.
