‘He should apologize’: Lawmakers respond to Rep. Eastman’s abortion comment

Fellow lawmakers are calling on Wasilla Rep. David Eastman to apologize after he made the claim that residents of rural Alaska get pregnant in order “to get a free trip to the city.”
On Tuesday, Eastman added an anti-abortion amendment to a measure to raise awareness about sexual assault and child abuse. The freshman legislator included a provision that labeled abortion “the ultimate form of child abuse.”
