Gov. Walker calls Alaska Legislature into special session

Alaska lawmakers are headed for a special session after adjourning Wednesday night without coming up with a long-term fiscal plan or passing an operating budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

Gov. Bill Walker signed the proclamation minutes after the Legislature adjourned, calling them back into special session Thursday morning at 11 a.m.
They now have up to thirty days of additional work in Juneau.
