GCI Services restored after man with weapon ‘seriously damaged’ facility

An Anchorage man is in custody after reports of him threatening GCI employees with a weapon — that was believed to be knife — at Denali Towers, and causing significant damage to the facility.
“At approximately 9:50 this morning, someone broke into the Denali Tower building,” according to a statement from GCI.
APD sent a Nixle alert of the incident at 12:26 p.m. saying they responded to the building located at the 2500 block of Denali Street at 11:04 Sunday morning.
