Fireworks, ways to comfort pets

 
Fireworks are a big part of the Fourth of July, and Anchorage Animal Care and Control (AACC) has ways to comfort your pets if they don’t like the sound.
AACC suggest staying home with your pets, to help keep them calm and to give it something else to focus on. For example, leaving the TV or radio on.
If your pet decides to hide in a safe place, Animal Care and Control says to let it. Also, make sure pets can’t escape and run away.
