Expect warm weekend weather in Alaska
After a snowy end to March, April will start out warm and wet in Southcentral.
A series of low pressure systems will move into the Gulf of Alaska from the weekend into next week. These systems will bring precipitation and warmer than normal temperatures to the area.
Coastal areas can expect on and off rain, mixing with some snow at higher elevations.
Breezy southeast winds will also accompany the systems, keeping avalanche danger high.
