Empty office spaces reflect sagging economy, low oil prices

Vacant buildings and “For Lease” signs seem to be a growing part of the landscape around Anchorage.
Mark Rowley, leasing manager for Pacific Tower Properties, said there are definitely more empty spaces than there was two years ago. He’s currently showing about two dozen properties, including the newly renovated building of the Legislative Information Office on 4th  Avenue, which lawmakers vacated last year.
