Duplex fire sends firefighter to hospital for treatment

Anchorage Fire Department responded to an eastside duplex fire late Friday night.
AFD said they received a call at 11:39 p.m. reporting a two-story duplex was on fire on the 800 block of Pioneer Drive.
Within five minutes crews arrived on scene and found one of the two units heavily involved with fire venting out of the windows on all three sides, according to Nixle alert.
