DOT: Trucks on now-closed Dalton Highway struck by avalanche

The Dalton Highway was closed Monday due to “extreme” avalanche conditions between mile 241 and mile 247, near Atigun Pass, according to the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT).
