Doctors say Alaska’s rural communities better prepared to fight flu outbreak

Two Southwest communities were hit hard by the flu this month, says State of Alaska epidemiologist Joe McLaughlin.
He says the outbreaks in both Kokhanok and Iliamna are reminders that even though the state has seen a decrease in influenza cases, the season is still not over.
