Denali Park postpones reopening area after bear sightings

Denali National Park officials are holding off on plans to reopen an area closed because of a problem grizzly bear, saying they’ve received new reports bear sightings there.The bear bit and scratched a hiker along the Savage Alpine Trail July 1. The park had just reopened the area after it was closed when the bear charged vehicles and on June 22 obtained food from a daypack that a visitor threw to distract it.
