‘Day of Action’ against Dakota Access Pipeline includes Anchorage protests

People against the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline called for a day of action and they got it. Around the country Tuesday, hundreds of protests took place against the giant oil pipeline being built in North Dakota. In Anchorage, protestors assembled in Town Square at noon.
Close to 50 people marched from the square chanting “Water is life.”
The protestors are standing in solidarity with the Standing Rock Sioux tribe of North Dakota, which is protesting the pipeline being b
