DA reaches plea deal in January murder

A 23-year-old man is expected to plead guilty to killing his mother’s boyfriend in January.
According to the District Attorney, Elliot Myas is pleading guilty to manslaughter.
Myas was accused of beating his mother’s boyfriend to death in his sleep at the Econo Inn on Fifth Ave. in Downtown Anchorage, police said.
According to APD, a group of people were watching football and drinking before it happened.
“During that time the victim was making fun of his girlfriend,” APD
