Bristol Bay residents await word on Pebble from E.P.A.

“Salmon first, Pebble never!” was the rallying cry from a group of stakeholders in Bristol Bay who gathered Thursday in Dillingham to express their objection to the Pebble Mine. Stakeholders, which include native corporations, tribal groups, fishermen and many private citizens are awaiting a possible settlement between the company that wants to develop Pebble and the Environmental Protection Agency.
The settlement, which would allow Pebble to move forward to the permitting process, i
