Bell Creek Fire burns more than 500 acres
Alaska is getting help from British Columbia and the Lower 48 to help fight wildfires across the state.
The Bell Creek Fire is burning north of the village of Crooked Creek, about 110 miles southwest of McGrath.
It began Sunday and is now more than 500 acres.
Smokejumpers were called in, but, becase of extreme fire behavior, all, but, four have pulled back and are focusing on protecting the village.
