Behind this year’s Fur Rondy Melodrama

For the past 27 years, the Fur Rondy Melodrama has become a wild and wacky tradition. In those nearly three decades, there have been multiple themes. This year’s theme is the History of Fur Rondy, or Fur Rendezvous, and will be produced by Alaska Sound Celebration (ASC).
According to Melanie Cross with ASC, the melodrama is an interactive theatre experience, not a “quiet show” at the Performing Arts Center.
