Bean’s Cafe holds vigil to remember homeless who died this year

Anchorage’s homeless men and women who died this past year were remembered and honored Wednesday during a vigil at Bean’s Cafe.
People gathered as part of a national memorial day for the homeless. Relatives, loved ones, volunteers and other community members lit candles to honor their passing.
The names were added to a growing list of those who have died on the fringes of society. The program manager for Bean’s Cafe said the people on the list were dear to her.
