Balto is back in Alaska for a 2nd time

An iconic character of Iditarod history is on display at the Anchorage Museum.
For the second time since the 1925 serum run, the sled dog Balto is back in Alaska.
Balto was the lead dog when his the team arrived in Nome with a Diphtheria serum.
He’s part of the museum’s “Polar Bear Garden” exhibit which celebrates the 150th anniversary of the United States purchase of Alaska from Russia.
